Hi. This is the Wrotham Hill end of the old road that linked the ‘dead end’ of Labour in Vain to what is now the A20. The old road is still there and emerges from the trees about half way down the hill on the left. It is very steep and is now just a footpath.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dick, I've updated the post with a map showing where it is, according to your comments. So the road in the postcard is the old main road (which is now a footpath) and the chalky bit leading upwards is the Bridleway which goes up to the dead end of Labour-in-Vain road?
DeleteYes - you are absolutely spot on with your arrow. It doesn't look like that now - it is much more overgrown.
DeleteIt was here that the body in the infamous A20 murder was found.
